Ambassador Lu Youqing Meets with Hon. Prime Minister Pinda

On September 17, 2013, Chinese Ambassador Lu Youqing met with Honorable Mizengo P. Pinda (MP), Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania. The two sides had in-depth exchange of views on China-Tanzania relations and other issues.

 

                                                     

 

Hon. Pinda thanked the Chinese government and people for the longtime selfless assistance to Tanzania, expressed great appreciation for the contribution made by Ambassador Lu on encouraging Chinese investment in Tanzania, and promoting the country's development and poverty-reduction since his assumption of office.

Hon. Pinda stated that China has been dispatching medical team to the country, built health facilities, donated large amount of materials including anti-malaria medicine, which played an important role in the development of Tanzania health undertaking and improvement of people's health. The two sides discussed the prospects of further cooperation in medical and health field, studied and planned the related cooperation projects.

Also present at the meeting are Mr Li Xuhang, Chinese Embassy political councilor, Mr. Lin Zhiyong, Chinese Economic and Commercial Representative,  Lt. Gen. Simbo, the designate Tanzania Ambassador to China, and Amb. Kairuki, Director of Asia and Australia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
