To commemorate the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania and China Global Television Network (CGTN) co-organized a special event themed “China-Africa Vision: Toward a Sustainable Future” in Dar es Salaam on August 25, 2023. 

Hon. Deng Li, Vice Foreign Minister of China delivered a video speech at the event. H.E. Chen Mingjian, Chinese Ambassador to Tanzania, and Hon. Mussa Azzan Zungu, Deputy Speaker of Tanzania’s National Assembly, made speeches respectively. Over 200 people from the Tanzanian government and various sectors, Chinese business community and China Culture Centre in Tanzania as well as the teachers and students from the Confucius Institute, University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) attended the event.
