H.E. Ambassador Wang Ke of China to Tanzanian Met with Honorable Angellah Jasmine Kairuki, Minister of Policy and Investment in the Prime Minister's Office of Tanzania

On February 27th, H.E. Ambassador Wang Ke of China to Tanzania met with Honorary Angellah Jasmine Kairuki, Minister of Policy and Investment in the Prime Minister's Office of Tanzania. During the meeting, the two exchanged views on strengthening the communication between the government and foreign investors, improving the business environment in Tanzania and other issues.

Ambassador Wang said, recent years have witnessed the Tanzanian government committing itself to improving the investment environment and attracting more foreign enterprises to invest and start a business in Tanzania. The decision made by the Prime Minister's Office of Tanzania this time in establishing the Ministry of Policy and Investment who directly heads the Tanzania Investment Center further shows the determination of the government in improving the business environment. In this sense, the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania would like to step up the cooperation with the newly established ministry by facilitating the communication between relevant Tanzanian government departments and Chinese enterprises and investors, introducing investment policies and business environment in Tanzania to the latter, helping settle the concerns and difficulties of Chinese enterprises in Tanzania in an effective manner and thus continuously pushing forward the development of China-Tanzania economic and trade cooperation in depth and breadth.

In response, Minister Kairuki said, China is an important partner of Tanzania who attaches great importance to the economic and trade relationship with China and appreciates the assistance and support China has been providing for a long period of time. At present, the Tanzanian government is devoted to improving the investment environment and is formulating foreign investment law and the Action Plan. The Ministry of Policy and Investment of Tanzania is willing to conduct close collaboration with the Chinese embassy in Tanzania and coordinate relevant government departments to have dialogue and exchange of views with Chinese enterprises and investors with the former answering the questions and settling the concerns and difficulties of the latter, contributing to the healthy and rapid development of the bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
