Ambassador Wang Ke Met with Speaker of the National Assembly and Ministers of the United Republic of Tanzania

On June 25th, H.E. Ms Wang Ke, Ambassador of China to Tanzania held a meeting with Hon. Job Y. Ndugai, Speaker of the National Assembly of Tanzania in Dodoma. H. E. Ms Wang Ke briefed Hon. Ndugai the achievement of the Coordinators' Meeting on the Implementation of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Summit Outcomes. The Ambassador and Speaker exchanged views on bilateral relations and the cooperation between the two parliaments.

During the meeting with Hon. Prof. Ummy Ally Mwalimu on 25th, Amb. Wang said there are continuous highlights in the bilateral health cooperation and the two countries has just signed the exchange of notes on the feasibility study for the expansion of Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI). Amb. Wang reaffirmed that China will continue to deepen the bilateral health cooperation and to support the development of health care of Tanzania. Minister Mwalimu appreciated the support by China and emphasized that the expansion of JKCI will transform the hospital into a center of excellence in high-tech cardiovascular treatment for peoples of East African countries.

During the meeting with Hon. Innocent Lugha Bashungwa, the new Minister of Industry and Trade of Tanzania on June 26th, Amb. Wang reiterated that China is committed to expand the scale and optimize the structure of of bilateral trade. Minister Bashungwa said that there is great potential for the two countries in the trade and investment and Tanzania will work together with China to promote the export of Tanzanian high-quality agricultural products.
