On 20 August, Ambassador Liu Xinsheng met with State Minister Hon. Philip S. Marmo before Mr. Marmo’s official visit to China.

Ambassador Liu welcomed Mr. Marmo to head a delegation to China. Ambassador Liu introduced to Mr. Marmo China’s progress during the recent 30 years since reform and the preparation works undergoing for the celebration of the 60th Anniversary of New China. He wished Mr. Marmo and his delegation a successful visit.

Mr. Marmo highly praised the social and economic achievements gained by China and China’s support to African countries. He wished the cooperation and friendly relationship between the two countries continue to grow.
