It is my great pleasure to witness the signing of the Contract, on the Construction of the Cardiac Surgery Treatment and Training Center of Tanzania. Please allow me, on behalf of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Tanzania, and in my own name, to extend warm congratulation to the signing of the Contract. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome assistant governor Mr. Zhou Qi and his delegation to visit Tanzania. Wish the delegation have a pleasant and fruitful stay in Tanzania.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

We appreciate very much that Tanzanian Government and Ministry of Health and Welfare particular, have been working hard to improve the health sector service to its people，and continuing to make great progress. I am gladly to notice that Tanzania government has drafted the Third Tanzania Health Sector Strategic Plan, covering the period from 2009 to 2015. I strongly believe that, the Plan’s implementation will surely contribute a lot, in promoting Tanzanian peoples health and quality of life.

We are proud that, Chinese government has been offering its help to Tanzania Lafike in this regard, through activities such as sending doctors to work in Tanzanian hospitals, training Tanzanian medical workers and donating anti-malaria drugs. The construction of the Cardiac Surgery Treatment and Training Center is a new effort of China, to help Tanzanian friends to improve its health sector service. I strongly believe that, the center will play an important role in fighting heart related disease in Tanzania. I sincerely hope the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Tanzania and China Shandong Foreign Economic & Technical Cooperation Group, to work hard and cooperate closely to guarantee the center’s earlier completion and function. I would also like to assure you that, the Embassy will continue to do its best, to facilitate the construction of the center, and the other projects in the fields of health cooperation between China and Tanzania.
